Indiana Offensive Coordinator

Rod Smith has left Indiana to join Rich Rodriguez' staff at Arizona. Here are our three potential candidates to replace him as co-offensive coordinator (along with Kevin Johns) and QB coach:

Chuck Long - ex-Kansas Offensive Coordinator
  • Offensive coordinator at Oklahoma from 2002-05. Kevin Wilson was his OL coach and took over as coordinator when Long left to become head coach at San Diego State.

Shawn Watson - Louisville Quarterbacks Coach
  • Offensive coordinator at Nebraska from 2007-10. He worked on staff with both Mike Ekeler and Brett Diersen, both of whom were part of the Cornhuskers' staff from 2008-10.
  • QB coach at Miami (Ohio) from 1990-93. Kevin Wilson was the team's OL coach in 1990 and '91 and was offensive coordinator from 1992-98.

Jay Rodgers - Denver Broncos Defensive Quality Control Coach
  • Played QB at Indiana from 1996-98.
