Offensive coordinator Billy Napier and running backs coach Andre Powell will not return to the Clemson staff. The coaching tree has come up with the following potential replacements:* = candidate for offensive coordinator position
- Offensive coordinator at Virginia Tech from 1995-2001. Danny Pearman was the tight ends coach at Virginia Tech from 1998-2006.
- Offensive coordinator at South Carolina in 1994. Brad Scott was the head coach at South Carolina from 1994-98.
- Defensive coordinator at Gardner-Webb in 1979, which was Charlie Harbison's freshman season as a defensive back at Gardner-Webb.
- Graduate assistant at Clemson in 1977 and '78 after playing receiver for the Tigers from 1973-76.
Daryl Dickey* - West Georgia Head Coach- QB coach at Florida State from 2001-06. Kevin Steele coached linebackers at FSU from 2003-06.
- QB coach at Florida State in 1989. Brad Scott coached for the Seminoles from 1983-93.
- Graduate assistant at Tennessee in 1987 before becoming a full-time assistant in '88. Kevin Steele was the defensive backs coach at Tennessee from 1987-88.
- Played quarterback at Tennessee from 1982-85. Steele was an assistant coach for the Vols in 1982.
Kevin Rogers* - Minnesota Vikings Quarterbacks Coach- QB coach at Virginia Tech from 2002-05, where he coached with Danny Pearman, who coached the Hokie tight ends.
RUNNING BACKS COACH
Pat Washington - Southern Miss Running Backs Coach- Wide receivers coach at Mississippi State in 2007 and '08. Charlie Harbison coached defensive backs at MSU in 2007 and was the defensive coordinator in 2008.
- WR coach at Tennessee from 1995-2005. Dan Brooks was the defensive line coach at Tennessee from 1994-2008.
Trooper Taylor* - Auburn Wide Receivers Coach- Coached running backs at Tennessee in 2004 and '05 before taking over the receivers from 2006-07. He was on staff with Dan Brooks for each of those four seasons.
- Played wide receiver at Florida State from 1990-93, where Brad Scott was his offensive coordinator.
Willie Simmons - Middle Tennessee State Running Backs Coach- Graduate assistant at Clemson in 2006.
- Played quarterback at Clemson from 2000-02.
