Dan Finn has left the San Diego State staff to become the new offensive line coach at Utah. Here are some names to keep an eye on as a possible replacement:
TJ Woods - Utah State Offensive Line Coach
- TE coach at New Mexico in 2007 and '08, where he worked under Rocky Long, who was the Lobos head coach.
Bob Stanley - ex-Western Michigan Offensive Line Coach
- OL Coach at New Mexico in 2006 under Rocky Long.
Gary Bernardi - San Jose State Offensive Line Coach
- TE coach at UCLA from 1993-2003. Rocky Long was the Bruins defensive coordinator in 1996 and '97.
Jason Eck - Hampton Offensive Line Coach
- Graduate assistant at Wisconsin from 1999-2001. Jeff Horton was the Badgers QB coach from 1999-2005.
Todd Spencer - ex-Georgia Tech Offensive Line Coach
- OL coach at Oregon State from 1991-96. Rocky Long was the defensive coordinator at OSU from 1991-95 and Osia Lewis was the team's LB coach from '91-96.
- Would probably be the top candidate on the list, but he left Georgia Tech after reportedly committing recruiting violations.
