Kansas State Tight Ends Coach

Ricky Rahne has left Kansas State to become the quarterbacks coach on James Franklin's new staff at Vanderbilt. The coaching tree has come up with the following potential replacements:


Greg Peterson - Northern Colorado Offensive Coordinator
  • Wide receivers coach at Kansas State from 1995-2005 after starting as a graduate assistant with the Wildcats in '94.


Clancy Barone - Denver Broncos Offensive Line Coach
  • Offensive coordinator at Wyoming from 1997-99 and at Houston from 2000-02 under Dana Dimel, who was the head coach at both schools.


Jonathan Hayes - Cincinnati Bengals Tight Ends Coach
  • Played for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1985-93. Played one year with WR coach Michael Smith, who played for the Chiefs in '92.
  • Played at Iowa from 1981-84. Bill Snyder was his offensive coordinator and Del Miller was also an assistant coach for the Hawkeyes.


Darrell Dickey - ex-New Mexico Offensive Coordinator
  • Played quarterback at Kansas State from 1979-82.

Other names in consideration: Toby Neinas, New Mexico; Brent Brennan, San Jose State.
