Tennessee Wide Receivers Coach

Charlie Baggett has stepped down as WR coach at Tennessee. The coaching tree has come up with the following potential replacements:

Tee Martin - Kentucky Wide Receivers Coach
  • Played quarterback at Tennessee from 1996-99.
  • If hired, Martin could coach WRs or take over the quarterbacks and move Darin Hinshaw to receivers.

Walt Bell - Southern Miss Wide Receivers Coach
  • Graduate assistant at Memphis in 2007 and '08, where he worked with Darin Hinshaw, who was the WR coach for the Tigers.
  • Played wide receiver at Middle Tennessee State from 2002-06. Hinshaw was the OC at MTSU from 2001-05.

Thomas Woods - Tulane Wide Receivers Coach
  • Played WR at Tennessee from 1985-89.

Frank Scelfo - Arizona Quarterbacks Coach
  • Offensive coordinator at Louisiana Tech from 2007-09 under Derek Dooley.
  • If hired, would more likely be the QB coach, moving Darin Hinshaw to coach WRs.

Other names in consideration: Pierre Ingram, Louisiana Tech; Taylor Stubblefield, CMU
