Auburn Offensive Coordinator

Gus Malzahn has left to become the new head coach at Arkansas State. Here are our 5 potential candidates to replace him as offensive coordinator at Auburn:

Gunter Brewer - Ole Miss Associate Head Coach/Passing Game Coordinator/Wide Receivers Coach
  • Assistant at Oklahoma State from 2005-10. Curtis Luper was the RB coach at OSU from 2005-08 before coming to Auburn and Trooper Taylor was the Cowboys' offensive coordinator in '08.

Greg Davis - ex-Texas Offensive Coordinator
  • Was the offensive coordinator at Texas from 1998-2010. He worked with Gene Chizik in 2005 and '06 when Chizik was the Longhorns defensive coordinator.

Brandon Doman - BYU Offensive Coordinator
  • Has coached QBs at BYU since 2005, and was promoted to offensive coordinator prior to the 2011 season. Jeff Grimes was the offensive line coach at BYU from 2004-06.

Dirk Koetter - Jacksonville Jaguars Offensive Coordinator
  • Head coach at Arizona State from 2001-06. Jeff Grimes was his OL coach from 2001-03.
  • Head coach at Boise State from 1998-2000. Grimes was his OL coach in 2000.
  • Offensive coordinator at UTEP from 1986-88. Grimes was an offensive lineman at UTEP from 1987-90.

Frank Scelfo - ex-Arizona Quarterbacks Coach
  • Offensive coordinator at Tulane from 1999-2006. Trooper Taylor was the RB coach at Tulane from 1999-2003.
