Ron Powlus - Akron Quarterbacks Coach- Was on staff with Charlie Weis at Notre Dame from 2005-2009, starting with two years as the director of personnel development before taking over as QB coach in 2007.
RUNNING BACKS COACH
Reggie Mitchell - Kansas Running Backs Coach
- WR coach at Notre Dame from 2005-09 under Charlie Weis.
TIGHT ENDS COACH
- TE coach at Notre Dame from 2005-09.
- Played RB for the New York Jets in 1999 and 2000. Charlie Weis was the Jets' offensive coordinator in '99.
Shane Waldron - ex-New England Patriots Tight Ends Coach
- Graduate assistant under Weis at Notre Dame from 2005-07.
- Worked in football operations with the New England Patriots from 2002-04, when Weis was the Pats' offensive coordinator.
OFFENSIVE LINE COACH
Jeff Blasko - Florida Offensive Graduate Assistant
- GA at Florida in 2011 under Charlie Weis after 3 years in the same role at Akron.
DEFENSIVE LINE COACH
- Spent the last two seasons on staff at Kansas as DL coach. Was named co-defensive coordinator prior to the 2011 season.
Vince Okruch - Akron Defensive Tackles/Special Teams Coach
- Defensive coordinator at Illinois in 2006, where Reggie Mitchell was the team's RB coach.
LINEBACKERS COACH
Jon Tenuta - North Carolina State Linebackers Coach- LB coach at Notre Dame in 2008 before taking over as defensive coordinator in '09.
DEFENSIVE BACKS COACH
Jeff Burrow - Kent State Safeties Coach- Graduate assistant at Notre Dame in 2005 and '06.
SPECIAL TEAMS COACH
Mike Woodford - New Mexico Defensive Backs Coach- Special teams coach at Illinois from 2007-09. Reggie Mitchell was the RB coach at Illinois from 2005-09 before coming to Kansas.
