Cleveland Browns Head Coach

Eric Mangini has been fired as head coach of the Cleveland Browns after two seasons and a record of 10-22. The coaching tree has come up with the following potential replacements:


Jon Gruden - former Buccaneers/Raiders Head Coach
  • Green Bay Packers wide receivers coach in 1993 and '94 after starting as an offensive assistant under head coach Mike Holmgren in 1992.
  • Offensive quality control coach with the San Francisco 49ers in 1990. Holmgren was the 49ers' offensive coordinator from 1989-91.


Marty Mornhinweg - Philadelphia Eagles Offensive Coordinator
  • Has been on Andy Reid's staff in Philadelphia since 2003. Browns general manager Tom Heckert was with the Eagles from 2001-09.
  • QB coach under Mike Holmgren with the Packers in 1996 after starting as an offensive assistant in '95.
  • Played for Holmgren in high school at Oak Grove in California.


Steve Mariucci - former Lions/49ers Head Coach
  • Green Bay Packers QB coach from 1992-95 under Mike Holmgren.
