Florida Offensive Coordinator

Charlie Weis has left Florida to become the new head coach at Kansas. The coaching tree has come up with the following potential replacements:

Jedd Fisch - Miami Offensive Coordinator
  • QB coach for the Seattle Seahawks in 2010, where he worked on staff with Dan Quinn, who was the DL coach.
  • OC at Minnesota in 2009. Derek Lewis was the TE coach for the Golden Gophers from 2007-10.
  • Graduate assistant at Florida in 1999 and 2000. Graduated from the University in 1998.


Noel Mazzone - Arizona State Offensive Coordinator
  • WR coach for the New York Jets from 2006-09. Dan Quinn was the Jets' DL coach in 2007 and '08.
  • OC at Auburn from 1999-2001. Travaris Robinson played DB at Auburn from 1999-2002.

GA Mangus - South Carolina Quarterbacks Coach
  • Graduate assistant at Florida from 1992-94 after playing QB for the Gators from 1988-91.

Major Applewhite - Texas Co-Offensive Coordinator
  • RB coach at Texas from 2008-10, when Will Muschamp was the Longhorns' defensive coordinator.

Other names in consideration: Blake Anderson, Southern Miss; Bill Lazor, Virginia; Jeff Brohm, Illinois; Brad Childress, ex-Vikings.
