Kevin Sumlin has been hired as the new head coach at Texas A&M. Here is our projection of his potential coaching staff:

Kliff Kingsbury* - Houston Co-Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach
- Spent the last two seasons as Co-OC and QB coach at Houston after two seasons as a quality control assistant with the program.
Chuck Long* - ex-Kansas Offensive Coordinator
- Offensive coordinator at Oklahoma from 2002-05. Kevin Sumlin coached tight ends and special teams at OU from 2003-05 and replaced Long as OC in '06.
RUNNING BACKS COACH
Clarence McKinney - Houston Running Backs Coach
- RB coach at Houston since 2008 under Kevin Sumlin.
Randy Jordan - Texas A&M Running Backs Coach
- Has been on staff at A&M since 2008.
WIDE RECEIVERS COACH
Jason Phillips - Houston Co-Offensive Coordinator/Wide Receivers Coach
- Worked on staff with Kevin Sumlin at Houston since 2008.
TIGHT ENDS/INSIDE RECEIVERS COACH
Mark Tommerdahl - Louisiana Tech Inside Receivers/Special Teams Coach
- Coached tight ends and special teams at Texas A&M from 2003-07.
- Coached TEs and special teams at Minnesota in 1995 and '96. Kevin Sumlin was on staff at Minnesota from 1993-97.
- Coached at Wyoming from 1984-94. Sumlin was the WR coach at Wyoming in 1991 and '92.
- Coached running backs and special teams at Purdue from 1997-2002. Kevin Sumlin coached receivers at Purdue from 1998-2000.
- Coached at Wyoming from 1987-96, where he worked on staff with Sumlin for two seasons.

Buddy Wyatt - ex-Kansas Co-Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Line Coach
- DL coach at Texas A&M from 2000-02 and again in 2008 and '09. Kevin Sumlin was the WR coach with the Aggies in 2001 and '02.
- DL coach at Minnesota from 1992-95, where he spent three seasons on staff with Sumlin.
Carlton Hall - Houston Defensive Line Coach
- Coached with Sumlin for just one year, as DL coach at Houston in 2011.
Terrell Williams - Texas A&M Defensive Line Coach
- Is in his second season as DL coach at A&M.
LINEBACKERS COACH
Jamie Bryant - Houston Linebackers Coach
- Spent the 2011 season as LB coach at Houston under Kevin Sumlin.
Dat Nguyen - Texas A&M Inside Linebackers Coach
- Has coached at A&M the last two seasons. Nguyen played LB for the Aggies from 1994-98.
CORNERBACKS COACH
Zac Spavital - Houston Cornerbacks Coach
- Has been on staff at Houston since 2008, Sumlin's first year with the Cougars.
- Graduate assistant at Oklahoma from 2005-07. Sumlin was the TEs and special teams coach in 2005 before taking over as offensive coordinator in 2006 and '07.
Brandon Shelby - Indiana Cornerbacks Coach
- Worked as a defensive assistant at Oklahoma in 2006 after playing DB for the Sooners from 2000-04. Sumlin came to OU in 2003 and stayed through the 2007 season.
SAFETIES COACH
Brian Stewart* - Houston Defensive Coordinator/Safeties Coach
- Worked as Kevin Sumlin's defensive coordinator for the last two seasons.
Mike Stoops* - ex-Arizona Head Coach
- Defensive coordinator at Oklahoma from 1999-2003. His last year at OU was Sumlin's first as the Sooner's TE/ST coach.
